The 16th Swift Wu Badminton Tournament Successfully held on 27 Feb 2024

中英文化体育交流协会羽毛球俱乐部去年夏季以来的第16次比赛, 今年的底次比赛，于2024年2月27号晚上，于英国伦敦温布尔登顺利举行！比赛每月1-2次，网上直播，媒体发布新闻，欢迎商家冠名和赞助我们的比赛。

Both **Vivek** and **Kavit** are 2nd time champions, but with different partners before. and **Varshan’s** 1st time to get in the final with Triple champion **Kris**.

We had total 24 players entered this tournaments with players in waiting, we spilt the 12 pair players in 3 groups, the rules are:

1. 12 pairs divided in 3 groups

2. 1 game to 21 WITHOUT setting for group games

3. Group winners and the best 2nd get in semi, best group winner vs best 2nd in Semi, , semi or final 21 (or 15) with setting if time allowed

4. Matches starts from 8pm, be on time, max 2 minutes warm up before each game, please don’t waste time.

5. can play friendly games after finish group games around 9.30pm

6. both champions and runner ups will get medals and prices Polite reminder

In Group C, former Champions in Red, Kris and Varshan, had 3 wins finished top of the group, the other 3 pairs win 1 game each. Kris and Varshan get in Semi

In group A, the fighting more tight, no pairs can win all the 3 games, and Substitute pair Subas and David beat one of the top seed, end up no pairs can win 3 games, but Guru & Ramesh, Neil & Jonnie won 2 games each, **Guru & Ramesh** finished top as they got more points get in semi

In Group B, **Vivek and Kavit** won 3 games to became winner of the group, and as they lost less points then the winner of group C, they’re the best group winner. Andy & Takashi get more points then the 2nd in group C and A, they get in Semi as the best 2nd.

as always, we had tough semis, Kris & Varshan beat Guru & Ramesh 21:18, Vivek & Kavit repeated their win against Andy & Takashi for 21:18 2nd time on the night.

Vivek & Kavit continued their great performance in the final, beat Kris and Varshan 21:13.

It was another successful event, and we had our live stream for 1st time, it’s not available for public, but we still had come audience, families & friends etc, watched our games live.

We had matches on 3 courts, one court has been streamed, you can watch the games on youtube, including 1 semi and final games.
