为了庆祝中国新年，中英文化体育交流协会羽毛球俱乐部去年夏季以来的第15次比赛于2024年2月13号晚上，大年初四，在英国伦敦温布尔登顺利举行, 又一对新冠军产生！英国华人以各种方式庆祝中国新年。欢迎商家冠名和赞助我们的比赛。
To celebrate Chinese New Year, Year of Dragon, our 15th tournament was successfully held on 13th Feb 2024, and it’s 4th Jan of Lunar Year. Also the following day is Valentine’s Day, we prepared Golden rose as prizes.
The tournament was sponsored by Swift Badminton, who supplies good quality shuttlecocks, it’s good shuttle for club and tournament, and swift badminton also have youtube channel for badminton education.
We welcome any new sponsors.
We had total 24 players entered this tournaments with players in waiting, we spilt the 12 pair players in 3 groups, the rules are:
1. 12 pairs divides in 3 groups
2. 1 game to 21 with setting for all games
3. winners of each group and the best 2nd get in semi
4. Max 2 minutes warm up before each game
5. Please off the courts if not competing before semi,
6. can play friendly after finish group games around 9.30pm 7. both champions and runner ups will get medals and prices, group winners also get prices.
As Jonni & Ben lost less points then the other group winners, they played semi against Kris & Mugugan, won 21:17
Young players, Peter and Gordon beat Vivek & Brinish 21:19.
In the final Jonni & Ben played really well to be our new champion pair, and Ben is our new champion, Jonni to be champion for 2nd time with different partner.
