The Swift 17th Wu Badminton Tournament Successfully held on 5 March2024

中英文化体育交流协会羽毛球俱乐部去年夏季以来的第17次比赛, 今年的第5次比赛，于2024年3月5号晚上，于英国伦敦温布尔登顺利举行！比赛每月1-2次，网上直播，媒体发布新闻，欢迎商家冠名和赞助我们的比赛

17th Swift Wu Badminton Tournament **champions**: **Kris and Takashi**, Runner ups, **Neil and Jonnie**

17th tournament rules:

9 pairs divided in 3 groups
1 game to 21 WITHOUT setting for group games, all other knock-out games 21 with setting if time allows. could be 15 points if not enough time
Order of play: groups 8-9pm, 9pm: best top 2 2nd play quarter, last 2nd vs last 3rd, 9.15pm 2 Semis, 9.30pm top 2 3rd, 9.40, finals
Matches starts from 8pm, be on time, max 2 minutes warm up before each game, please don’t waste time.
Champions will get medals and prizes

In Group A, former champions in **RED**, Ben & Zak played really well, won both games to become top of the group. **Champions** of last tournament Kavit & Vivik only finished as 3rd in group

In Group B, Kris and Takashi played well to win the group.

In Group C, Neil & Jonnie won both games as winner of the group. Ryan and John was close to them only lost 18-21.

After the group, we played more knock out games this time, the best two 2nd in groups, based on their points in groups, played quarter, they ‘re 2nd of C group, Ryan & John, and 2nd of Group B, Guru & Ramash, Guru & Ramesh beat Ryan & John in close game get in Semi

In Semis, the Best winner, based on the points they lost in group, Neil & Jonni against Guru and Ramesh, Neil and & Jonnie get in the Final. Another 2 group winners played against each other, Kris and Takashi just beat Ben and Zak 22:20.

Kris and Takashi, carried on their performance, won in the final. Kris and Takashi, another champion pair, and it’s Kris’s 4th time champion, but 1st time gold our gold medal, it’s Takashi’s 2nd time champion

Wu also organised knock-out for the other 4 pairs, the last group 2nd against the last group 3rd, winner was Andy & Suthat, another two groups 3rd are Vivek & Kavit beat Sukwan & Chi, and Anday & Suthat beat Vivek and Kavit get small gifts.

Our next tournament will be on 19th march 2024. Be Ready!
