中英文化体育交流协会羽毛球俱乐部去年夏季以来的第13次比赛于2024年1月17号晚上在英国伦敦温布尔登顺利举行！也是今年第一次的比赛， 参赛人数最多的一次。
We had total 24 players entered this tournaments with players in waiting, this is our first time have so many players, and we spilt the 12 pair players in 3 groups, the rules are:
Rules:
1. 12 pairs divide into 3 groups, winner and each group and the best 2nd will play semi. semi will be based on group performance , best 1st vs best 2nd
2. Group games, 2 games of 15 without setting. no 3rd game if 1 game each
3. For Semi and Final, may play 1 game to 21 with setting or 2 games of 15 depends on time
4. Champion pairs won GOLD medal and Prize, Runner get silver medal (don’t offer silver medal each time)
it’s our first time to try 3 groups and 2 games in group, it was successful
Kris and Subas won all the games in group A
Vicky and Rasi, first time played our tournament, did really well, they won all the games in group B, and loss less points, and they finished as the best 1st in group stage
Nei & Takashi, Champion of Wimbledon club B grade of 2023, played well get 5 wins in group finished as top of group C
for the best 2nd, both Alex & Pete from group C, and Gura & Thaya all got 4 wins in group, but Alex & Pete, got 4 more points then Gugu & Thaya, so Alex & Pete as the best 2nd
In the Semi, we only played 1 game up to 15 with setting, the best 2nd beat best 1st 16:14, another semi, Neil and Takashi beat Kris & Subas with a strategy to put pressure on the weaker player, the end up the finals are all from group C
In the Final, Takashi and Neil kept their performance, and win.
