羽毛球俱乐部今年第8次比赛于11月21号晚上顺利举行
We had another successful tournament on 21 Nov 2023, this is our 8th tournament since the Summer
We had more participants then ever, with total of 12 pairs, 24 player played in the tournament, which is over the maximum number we could have for the courts available, but with everyone’s help, we managed just finished the tournament.
In the tournament 12 pairs are divided into 2 large groups, we played round robin in each group, 1 game to 21 without setting. the top 2 pairs in each group get in semi.
In Grop A, Neil and Ringo Tan played really well, all clear big wins to finished top of the group. It was so close for the 2nd, 3 pairs got 3 wins, had to canulate the points to separate them, Sukwan Hwang and Daniel Yan come to the 2nd in group.
In group B, few pairs are so close, 2 pairs got 4 wins, the champion of last tournament Vivek and Murugan had 3 wins, but the 2 games they only lost 20-21, unlucky for them, after canulated the small points, Suthat and Euan come to the 1st of the group, Kris and Yunfeng Wu finished 2nd in group.
In the Semi, Neil & Ringo continued their clear run from group, beat Kris and Wu in the semi, another semi, Sukwan & Daniel beat Euan and Suthat.
Neil and Ringo get challenged by Sukwan and Daniel, but they still solid, won 21-19 in the final.
Tournament has been well prepared on the day as player drops or join late
