The 40th WU ACCSEA Badminton Tournament, held on Thursday, 3 April 2025, at Wimbledon, was a resounding success, filled with fierce competition and unforgettable moments. Generously sponsored by Ashton Meadows Nursing Home, the event brought together players and fans for a day of high-energy matches and camaraderie. A major highlight was the reveal of prizes autographed by Olympian Toby Penty, adding an extra layer of excitement for participants.
Organizers extended heartfelt thanks to Ashton Meadows Nursing Home for their steadfast support while calling for more sponsors to help sustain these tournaments, which take place 1–2 times monthly. “Contributions of any kind or size are welcome,” said a spokesperson, urging local businesses and individuals to help keep this beloved tradition thriving.
The excitement continues! The next tournament is set for 17th April, with several businesses already pledging support—but more sponsors are warmly encouraged to join in.
