22 May 2026 – Wimbledon Racquets & Fitness Club (WRFC)
For the first time, our tournament was officially hosted by Wimbledon Racquets & Fitness Club (WRFC) – a proud partnership that brought together 13 pairs (more than the planned 10) for an evening of intense, good‑spirited badminton. We were delighted to welcome many first‑time players, a ladies’ pair, and an 13 & 14‑year‑old talents who continues to impress.

🏆 Tournament Format & Group Stage
The 13 pairs were divided into two groups (A: 6 pairs, B: 7 pairs), playing a round‑robin format. All group matches were 21 points, setting up to 23. The top two from each group advanced to the semi‑finals, with the final played under 21 points, setting up to 30.

Group A notes:
- Yuzhe and Taira were playing their first tournament.
- Dillon (13 years old) finished 2nd in the group, reaching the semi‑finals once again.
Group B
Group B notes:
- Kent & Sam, Courtney & Emma, Masroor & Chol, and Arushan & Rajan were all first‑time participants.
- Courtney & Emma formed our first ever ladies’ pair – a very welcome addition! 👏
👑 Knockout Stage
Semi‑finals:
- Group A winner Eden & Yuzhe vs Group B runner‑up Kent & Sam
- Group B winner Allan & Faran vs Group A runner‑up Shaadhir & Dillon
Both semi‑finals were competitive, setting up a final between the two group winners.
🏆 The Final: Eden & Yuzhe vs Allan & Faran
In a high‑quality final, Eden (14 years old) and Yuzhe emerged victorious, claiming the 56th tournament title. For Yuzhe, it was a dream debut – winning the tournament in his very first appearance. For Eden, it was another well‑deserved title, and at just 14, he continues to show immense promise.
Runners‑up Allan & Faran played brilliantly throughout the night, finishing top of Group B with six straight wins.& Faran played brilliantly throughout the night, finishing top of Group B with six straight wins.
